What Sensor Tower is
Sensor Tower is best known for estimates of how many downloads and how much revenue any app makes, built from its own models and panels. Its products cover app performance, advertising, games, usage, audiences, retail media and the web. It says it has more than 2,000 enterprise customers.
In March 2024 Sensor Tower bought data.ai, the company formerly called App Annie. The old data.ai and App Annie addresses now lead to a page saying data.ai has been acquired by Sensor Tower. Sensor Tower also has ASO features: keyword research, rank tracking and Apple Search Ads insight.

Sensor Tower's pricing page says it customises plans for each customer and asks you to contact sales (checked 25 October 2026). For a rough idea only: Vendr, a software-buying service, reports a range of about $29,500 to $115,000 a year from 40 purchases. That figure is third-party, not from Sensor Tower.

What happened to data.ai?
Sensor Tower acquired data.ai (formerly App Annie) in March 2024. The data.ai website now says it has been acquired by Sensor Tower.
